From its roots in the open wheel modified ranks to its current ARCA and NASCAR competition, ABR has developed into one of the most respected race teams on these circuits.Andy Belmont’s driving intuitiveness is the perfect groundwork for developing up and coming talent, enabling young drivers the knowledge and skill needed to reach and succeed in the next level of competition. As a driver, Andy Belmont’s credentials include the NASCAR Dash wins and Series Rookie of the Year followed by the NASCAR Dash Series Championship the next year.In ARCA Series competition, Belmont has finished in the top ten in championship points in all but two of his full time seasons on that circuit. In 1989, Belmont competed in his first NASCAR Cup Series event and still fields cars in that series on a limited basis.In his first full time NASCAR Cup Series season, Belmont earned the runner up Rookie of the Year honors. Belmont hung up his driving hat in 2006 to concentrate on new driver development. ABR has fielded cars for notable up and comers such as Chad McCumbee, Dominic Casola, TJ Bell and Tom Hessert.In 2007, ABR racked up two wins, four top-5’s, and five top-10’s in the 23-race season.2008 saw Belmont coaching Hessert, Grant Enfinger and others through ARCA competition. The result was an 8th place championship points finish with a rookie driver, setting up an excellent start to 2009. In addition to his duties as crew chief, Andy Belmont also devotes his charitable efforts to Focus Motorsports Ministries, providing spiritual guidance and worship services for the ARCA Racing Series. He also is a board member of Rockingham Speedway. Team owner Jennifer Belmont devotes her track time to team organization and serves as spotter on race days.The Belmonts centralize their focus on nurturing their children’s development and extend that focus into their race team development.
