Concord, NC (March 14, 2008) — The ABR team heads to Rockingham this week for open testing, ready to see how the speedway stable of cars shakes out.  The much anticipated Carolina 500 at the newly reopened Rockingham Speedway has lured over 40 ARCA teams to sign up for the open test on March 21st and 22nd.

“We’re ready to get back at it,” said Andy Belmont.  “We opened the season in Daytona and it’s several weeks before the next race.  While it gives us time to prepare some great equipment, it knocks us off our momentum a bit.  Our guys are looking forward to getting back to the track week in an out and building that anticipation for each week’s run being better than the last. We’ve got a great driver in Tom Hessert so we are anxious to showcase his abilities to the racing world.”

As anxious as the Andy Belmont Racing crew is to head back to the track, Rockingham Speedway owner Andy Hillenburg is even more eager to host guests at the newly reopened facility. “The track is in great shape and we are fully prepared for our inaugural race event,” said Hillenburg. “This has been a great endeavor for our team at The Rock and we are pleased to be able to add to the economy of Rockingham and Richmond County by reopening this great facility.  If you haven’t ordered your tickets yet, give us a call soon because the ticket demand is increasing every day.”
