Driver Profile:NICK IGDALSKY Age: 32 Series: ARCA Remax presented by Menards NASCAR Whelen All American SCCA Regional & Nationals Bertil Roos F2000 Pro Series Grand-Am Koni Challenge Years Racing:14 Hometown:Pocono Summit, PA Marital Status: Married Wife:Brandy Kids:None Nick Igdalsky began racing in Formula 2000 open wheel road racing at 16 years old. After gaining advanced instruction from the Bertil Roos Racing School, Nick competed in and regularly won several amateur F2000 races. Series officials were impressed enough that they offered Nick a position as an instructor for the Bertil Roos Racing School after competing in just one Bertil Roos F2000 Pro Series event. Nick took 4 years off from racing and earned a degrees in Marketing and Management from Elon University in North Carolina. After graduation he continued to compete in a handful of Roos Pro Races and SCCA National events. In his first SCCA regional race, Nick drove a Crossle Club Ford to a 22 second victory, and while doing so beat every car in the faster Formula Ford class as well. In Nick’s initial SCCA National Formula Mazda race, he drove from the rear of a 25-car field to finish in 2nd place while competing against the Northeast’s best Formula Mazda drivers. After relocating to South Boston, VA, Nick began short track racing.During his rookie season in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Budweiser Pure Stock Division, Nick had earned awards for Most Poles (7), Most Wins (3), and Most Laps Led. Nick’s second season in South Boston Speedway’s Pure Stock Division was marred by mechanical woes, forcing him to compete in three different cars throughout the year.Even with bad luck he still found himself leading the Division's Points Chase and narrowly missed claiming the Pure Stock Division Championship. In 2006 Nick only entered 4 races in the Pure Stock Division but won 3 of 4! Those 3 wins still earned a tie for Most Wins in the 2006 season. In 2007 Nick finished 5th in points in the Bertil Roos F2000 Series with 2 wins, and 4 podium finishes in only 7 races. In 2008 Nick finished the F2000 season 3rd in points collecting 5 wins, and 6 podium finishes in only 8 races.Nick is currently ranked 7th in all time Bertil Roos Series wins with 9 wins and has 14 podium finishes in 21 career starts. In 2009 Nick competed in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series Driving the #47 Mustang for JBS Racing.Being able to join forces and co-drive the car with my cousin Chase Mattioli was by far the most enjoyable season in Nick’s career to date. Nick raced in 8 out of the 11 races scheduled and still managed to finish 21st in the 2009 Koni standings and 4th in rookie points.
