Momentum Carries McCumbee Into New Jersey
Lexington, N.C.-(August, 10th 2010) Chad McCumbee and his ModSpace team are heading to New Jersey confident that they can continue their streak of solid finishes. Last week Chad battled his way through the field coming out with a top 10 finish. “I’m just so proud of my team and my car,” commented McCumbee. “I really think that if we had a few more laps we could have had a podium finish at least”. McCumbee ran top five all night before tangling with Frank Kimmel. “Chad and I were having a clean race when we both got dumped by another car,” stated Kimmel.
The ModSpace team’s stellar performance at the Berlin Raceway has the team going for more in New Jersey. New Jersey will be Chad’s first time ever on a road course. “I think Chad will do well in New Jersey,” said team owner Jennifer Belmont. Chad is also very anxious to get in the car and try something new. Chad will have his ModSpace/ Red Cross Disaster relief teammate and road race expert Nick Igdalsky to rely on for guidance around the tough New Jersey Motorsports Park. Igdalsky will once again carry the colors of the Goodwill Industries and the “we put people to work” slogan.
The Garden State ARCA 150 Presented by the American Red Cross will take place on Sunday August 15th. The green flag will drop at 1:00 p.m. eastern time and will consist of 67 laps/150 miles on the 2.3-mile track. This week’s race will not air on SPEED, however you can catch live coverage and live timing and scoring at www.arcanation.com.
