Mooresville, NC (May 2, 2009), After a seven year hiatus Kevin Belmont will be back in the driver’s seat for the Drive Smart Buckle-Up Kentucky 150 and the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series.
Brothers Andy & Kevin Belmont are not strangers to working as a team in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.Not only did Kevin drive for Andy Belmont Racing (ABR), but he served as Andy’s crew chief during the 2001 season with Andy finishing third in driver’s points.Kevin was named ARCA’s Most Improved Driver in 2002 while driving for James Hylton & Andy Belmont Racing.In 2003 Kevin decided to dedicate his time to his own business KB Letterin’.During those seven years Kevin and his wife Rebecca also started The Village Farm which is a 64 stable horse boarding facility.While Kevin thoroughly enjoys the horse farm, he is ready to return to his first love, horse power. “I’m really happy to be back with Andy Belmont Racing & the ARCA RE/MAX Series” Kevin declared.“Andy and I are reversing roles this time.While I ran his car in 2001, and 2002 my primary responsibility was as his crew chief, this time around I’ll be at the wheel with Andy on the pit box.”
